Skills Live™ Show Gives Anyone Access to Autism Resources and Training 24/7

This week is the official launch of the Center for Autism and Related Disorders' Skills Live™daily, live webcast. Skills Live gives anyone access to up-to-the-minute autism news and effective treatment strategies. It is the first of its kind and is broadcast live each weekday from 9 am to 1 pm (Pacific Standard Time) on the Internet at skillsforautism.com/skills-live.html.

The Skills Live show goes beyond a basic webcast by enabling members to submit questions to autism experts and a CARD-trained moderator on a daily basis. “When our son was diagnosed with autism we didn’t know what to do or where to turn,” says Skills Live host Shannon Penrod. “My goal in hosting this show is to help parents and teachers get the information they need, when they need it.”
Skills Live™ will broadcast LIVE from
ACT Today!'s 5th Annual Charity Golf Classic,
hosted by actor Joe Mantegna
Be sure to watch the action and live interviews,
this Monday, Sept 12th - starting at 9am!
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, an estimated 1 in 110 children in America is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), making ASD more common than pediatric cancer, juvenile diabetes and pediatric AIDS combined. ASDs are a group of developmental disabilities that can cause significant social, communicative and behavioral challenges. Skills Live addresses the national concern for the incidence ASD among children by giving parents, practitioners and educators critical information and support.

Skills Live is part of the Skills® web-based, autism recovery program, released earlier this year and designed to provide step-by-step assessments for children with autism and related disorders; hands-on, individualized, behavioral treatment program; and progress tracking data.
