Hoffman International Properties Donates Arabian National Champion Horse for Live Auction at ACT Today!’s 7th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism Fundraiser

ACT Today! (Autism Care and Treatment Today!), a national non-profit organization whose mission is to provide access to care and treatment to children with autism, announces Hoffman International Properties, will give Nite Time Love, a half Arabian national champion horse in halter as part of ACT Today!’s 7th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism live auction, benefiting children with autism. The event will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Calamigos Ranch in Malibu, California and will honor actor Joe Mantegna (“Criminal Minds”), KCBS 2 and KCAL 9’s President and General Manager Steve Mauldin, and community activist Kathleen Sternbach. Over 500 guests are expected to attend the red carpet fundraiser, including corporate leaders, celebrities, dignitaries and other autism supporters.

Along with Nite Time Love, the winning bidder will receive a “Horse Lovers” package that includes two free breedings the bidder’s choice of two fellow national champions, Ultimate Bey or Psyc It Ritz. The winning bidder can also breed with Alibi, a Breeders Cup Champion and the son of Justify by Magnum Psyche, the greatest Arabian stallion of all times. Plus, the winning bidder will have a trip to Kentucky for the 2013 Keeneland races and a 7-night vacation in the former Wrigley villa in Lexington.

“Hoffman International Properties makes an impressive donation to support ACT Today!’s annual fundraiser in its own magnificent way, and thanks to it, our fundraiser this year will land on a whole fresh ground," says ACT Today!’s Executive Director Nancy Alspaugh-Jackson. “The event will be more enthusing, more inspiring, more colorful, and hopefully, more money will be raised to make it possible for children with autism to get the necessary care and treatment they need to reach their highest potential.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in every 88 children in America is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), making ASD more prevalent than juvenile diabetes, childhood cancer and pediatric AIDS combined.

Proceeds from the 7th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism fundraiser will make it possible for ACT Today! to continue providing families access to therapy, medical care, assistance dogs, social skills programs, assistive technology, special needs camp, entrance into special needs school, and basic safety equipment (e.g. helmets and fencing).

To date the event sponsors, include (as of August 22, 2012): Vin Di Bona Productions, Reaction Audio Visual, TWIW Insurance Services, LLC., Natrol, Sandy and David Stone, Universal City Nissan, Wells Fargo, Hoffman International Properties, William Henry Studio, City National Bank, Burbank Printing, Charity Lives, United Healthcare, Linda Bertch, Isabella Emporium, Valley Economic Development Center, Pressure Tech and The Resort at Pelican Hill.
